LGが、HD DVD-ROM読み込み対応の記録型Blu-rayドライブ「GGW-H10NI」を発表しました。

LG has announced a new HD disc burner, the first drive available for PCs able to write to Blu-ray and read HD DVD. The drive, GGW-H10NI Super Multi Blu-ray, is also one of the first to support 4X BD-R writing, significantly lowering the time needed to write to a disc, currently at 44 minutes for a full 22GB disc.
4倍速BD-R記録に対応し、HD DVD-ROMも読める便利なドライブ「GGW-H10NI」ですが、価格は1,200ドルとかなり高額。
単体でBlu-rayドライブとHD DVD-ROMドライブを買ったほうが安いと記事には書かれています。
もっとも、今後価格は下落するでしょうし、何よりBlu-rayとHD DVD両方に対応したドライブが発売される、という事実に意味があるわけですが。
