台湾で、Comuptex2008が開催されています。
NECオプティアークは、BD-ROM対応DVDドライブを100ドル以下で、BD-Rドライブを150〜200ドルで発売する予定である、と話したそうです。

During Computex 2008 in Taiwan, a SonyNEC Optiarc Exec has told Toms Hardware that the company expects that combo drives (DVD burners with Blu-ray reading capability) will be priced at about $100 or less. A slim-line combo drive for notebooks is expected to cost about $50 more and for $150-$200 you will have a drive that also burns Blu-ray discs.
BD-ROMスリムドライブは150ドル程度でしょうか。
2万以下まで下がれば、普及速度はさらに上がるでしょうが、NECオプティアークは、受像機たるテレビのHDへの切り替え普及度などから、今年一気にBlu-rayが普及するとは考えていないようです。
とはいえ、確実にDVD→Blu-rayへの移行は進んでいます。
HDTVネット配信までにBlu-rayをどれだけ浸透させられるかが、今後のBlu-ray普及の鍵になるかと思われます。
