PS3はBlu-rayプレイヤーとして最高の選択肢か？

PS3、Blu-ray（BD）プレイヤーとして購入するのがベストかどうか、という問いかけです。
皆さんどう思われますか？

現時点で、PS3が廉価でかつ高機能なBDプレイヤーであることは、疑いのないことです。
しかしこの記事では、（投稿者個人の意見として）BDプレイヤーを買うのであれば、秋まで待つべきではないかと提言しています。
理由は、Profile 2.0に対応したBDプレイヤーが秋ごろ発売予定であるので、ゲーム機として使わない人はPS3ではなく、秋ごろ発売される新しいプレイヤーを買うべきだということです。
しかし、PS3は先日ファームウェア2.20にて、このProfile 2.0に対応してきました。
Profile 2.0対応のために秋まで待つ、というのであれば、すでに対応済みのPS3を購入するのも一手かと思いますが。
